House of Ignatius SALT Team

House Spotlight

House of Ignatius

At GACC the 7-12 grades are divided into a house system.  There are a total of four houses that include students from every grade.  Each house is responsible for coming up with a name, which as you will notice is a name of a Saint.  The houses are also responsible for creating a crest symbol that represents their cause.  Students participate in house competitions throughout the school year and receive points for activities. Houses also participate in several service projects throughout the year that serve the school, church, and community.

Spotlight #1 is on the House of Ignatius

Saint: Ignatius

We chose this saint because he placed a strong emphasis on faith-filled education and service. As a House, we want to imitate St. Ignatius’s love of serving those in need and being a light of Christ to the world.

“Ite inflammate omnia.”

“Go forth, and set the world on fire.”
