St. Maximilian Kolbe House Hosts Blood Drive

St. Maximilian Kolbe house hosted a blood drive with the help of the American Red Cross. The project was spearheaded by members of the house's Student Advocacy Leadership Team (SALT leaders), Braden D., Katey B., and Carolyn F., along with help from the other SALT leaders, Sarah A., Bob S., and Marci F., and from the students within the house.

The seniors were especially interested in hosting a drive after having donated several times in the past and seeing the positive effects of their donations.

It was good for the students to see how the Red Cross operated as a team to effectively set up, run, and take down the drive. Everyone played an important role in order to accomplish the goal.

We met and surpassed our goal for donations. The projected number from Red Cross was 25, by our un-official count 32 people were able to donate. 20-25 were unable to donate due to time constraints and other reasons.

We truly appreciated all of the support from the community and Guardian Angels Central Catholic. We are also thankful that the Red Cross was able to work with us. We look forward to hosting another Blood Drive in the future.
